About Us

Dynamic, youthful, entrepreneurial, and pragmatic! This is what insideSCM stands for, and it is highly valued by our clients. Thanks in part to our innovative outlook, we have achieved SAP SCM Gold Partnership status. We design, configure, and deliver SAP SCM solutions, prioritizing the needs and requirements of our clients.

Empower Supply Chain Management. Together.

Our History

insideSCM was founded in 2008 with a passion for Supply Chain and IT. In 2010, we delivered our first SAP EWM project, marking a milestone for insideSCM, the client, and SAP! This was one of the initial Go-Lives with the new SAP SCM EWM application solutions. In 2012, SAP AG officially recognized insideSCM as an SAP SCM Services Partner. With the introduction of SAP S/4HANA and Digital Supply Chain in 2016, we began delivering SAP TM and EWM solutions. In 2019, we achieved SAP Gold Partnership Status. Currently, we are on the path of further modernization with Cloud, Robotics, AI, and Machine Learning innovations. All of this is in line with our commitment to sustainability and quality for our clients. People are at the forefront of everything we do, guiding our approach and priorities.

Our Mission

insideSCM emerged from the collaborative efforts of IT and Business Consultants within the SAP and Supply Chain Management realm, driven by a desire to make a significant impact on logistics strategy, tactics, and operations. insideSCM stands as a pillar of expertise and knowledge. Within the landscape of SAP providers, we distinguish ourselves through our specialized focus and expertise on core logistics processes. Considered as the logistics service provider within the SAP SCM domain, we emphasize ourselves on our open and client-centric approach.

Our Vision

insideSCM strives to seamlessly integrate SAP solutions, including SAP Extended Warehouse Management and SAP Transportation Management, with the business processes of our clients. In doing so, we aim for the most optimal standard solutions and software configuration, empowering clients to leverage the benefits of a standard software package while retaining focus on their unique logistics processes and objectives. Our vision is sustainable and forward-thinking. We fulfill our role as a System Integrator and SAP SCM Implementation Partner with enthusiasm and dedication to our clients.

Our Core Values

People-oriented

In today's world, we are witnessing a significant increase in automation. The latest innovations in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and robotics are primarily aimed at placing people at the forefront. These applications are designed to free up time for individuals to focus on the core of their roles and strengths. In our view, being people-oriented can go hand in hand with innovation! We prioritize the people element in all our SAP projects, ensuring that it remains central for both our clients and our own team.

Entrepreneurial

insideSCM empowers every employee to act entrepreneurially. As Steve Jobs once wrote, "Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do." While each of us is unique as an individual, we collectively share a passion and joy in working with SAP. At insideSCM, we never stand still; we are always in motion.

Together

"Coming together is a beginning; staying together is progress; working together is success!" In the business world, and particularly in the delivery of SAP projects, effective collaboration is crucial. Communication and clear goals for each milestone lay a solid foundation for this collaboration. Reaching the finish line together is more important than winning individually.

Genuinely

"Trust comes on foot and leaves on horseback" and "Honesty is the best policy." Both personally and professionally, these are crucial. At insideSCM, you can rely on us, and we are committed to collaborating with our clients to achieve their goals. "Say what you do and do what you say" is the cornerstone of our entire team, and we strive to qualify ourselves as a genuinely honest enterprise.

What does the client say?

Step-by-step implementation

Because migrating to a new ERP system can be quite disruptive, we opted for a phased implementation rather than a 'big bang' approach. Damen assumes full project responsibility. Han states, 'For this project, we've engaged senior consultants from the market. The project is divided into functional streams, such as Record to Report (R2R), Order to Cash (O2C), Inventory to Fulfill (I2F), and Purchase to Pay (P2P). Each project team consists of one or two functional consultants per stream, key users, and a technical team based in India. The project is characterized by pragmatism with a mindset of 'delivering, not just talking.' We have set up a template in SAP beforehand, incorporating the basic processes that all Damen divisions can utilize. This template, built without complex modifications, is now in production at the Yachting division, serving approximately four hundred users, primarily in the Netherlands. The solution is as 'plain vanilla' as possible to support integrated collaboration across shipbuilding projects, even across divisions. It is now being rolled out to other divisions, with innovations being added along the way.

We are looking confidently towards the future.

The expiration date of our old system Navision had passed. Aspects such as transportation and production were separated in it. When selecting a new package, we focused on what best suits Vreugdenhil. We wanted an integrated package that allows us to serve customers well. We have a complex supply chain; how do you get that into an ERP package? Furthermore, we were looking for a package that ensures a more disciplined way of working. Another reason was that a large part of the food industry works with SAP, which simplifies collaboration.

Preference for well-known parties

They possess significant expertise and have a team of professionals with a deep understanding of the business landscape, including experienced program managers. This combined knowledge has been leveraged to develop a robust plan, in which they excel at mobilizing their network. By collaborating with various partners and individuals, they have been able to create a manageable program despite the numerous uncertainties. This sets them apart from other parties, as they are not only capable of leveraging the Dutch network but also providing international support.
